Burkina Faso – Orezone Partnership Project: Clean Water for Séguénéga

Our local partner, CoFoMaya, live and work in this region. They have expertise and unique insight into local traditions, needs and methods. With their guidance, we will provide safe water to help improve lives in Burkina Faso!

Activities:

• Construction of 3 traditional wells
• Establishment of village water committees for each village
• Training and education on maintaining a safe water supply

*Costs include (in Canadian dollars): water quality monitoring, hygiene education activities, water source committee training, project monitoring, reporting & partner coordination for WASH sustainability, all construction, drilling, materials and labour as required.

• Sel Yerdo Village Well –completed
• Koumbranga Village Well – completed
• Saaka Village Well – completed

• April 2012 – Construction of 3 wells is completed with final training activities underway.
